The TransDrive Type S with sliding block is a robust industrial chain tensioning device specifically engineered for demanding, heavy-duty applications. At its core is a durable semi-circular (SC) profile sliding block made from high-density polyethylene (HD 1000, green), which delivers excellent excellent low-friction performance and exceptional wear resistance.
The tensioner’s main body and support column are manufactured from PA6 polyamide reinforced with 30% fibreglass, providing superior mechanical strength and long-lasting durability under load. To ensure reliability in harsh operating environments, all additional components – including the spring and fixings – are constructed from corrosion-resistant stainless steel (INOX 304L).
Ideal for conveyor systems and power systems and power transmission setups, the Type S effectively maintains optimal chain tension, reduces vibration, minimises wear, and significantly extends the operational life of chain-driven equipment.
